If you’re planning a New York City trip and care about aesthetic, location, and feeling safe, Hotel Seville NoMad checks all three boxes. My brother and I stayed here for a December Christmas weekend, and it ended up being one of those places I’d genuinely book again without hesitation.
First Impressions: Vintage Charm with Character
The exterior immediately stood out. The hotel sits on a corner, which gives it personality you don’t always get in NYC. There’s a vintage, old-world feel to the building that made it feel special the second we arrived. Inside, that charm continues—cute, cozy, and thoughtfully designed without feeling outdated.
Safety & Peace of Mind (A Huge Plus)
Safety is always my top priority when staying somewhere new, especially in a big city. Here, I felt completely at ease.
- You must scan your key to access hotel floors via the elevator
- The surrounding area felt clean, calm, and secure
- Even coming and going at different times, the location felt comfortable
That peace of mind alone made the stay worth it.
Location & Walkability
The hotel is very walkable to so much. Most of our exploring was done on foot, and we only used the subway when crossing town felt too far to walk.
Nearby favorites:
- 7th Street Burger – about a 10–15 minute walk and so worth it if you want a simple, really good burger
- Tashkent Supermarket Halal Food – roughly a 30–40 minute walk, but an easy, straight route through a nice area
- This was one of my brother’s favorite spots because of their yogurt parfaits
- Tons of groceries, fresh hot food, and a mix of things you know plus foods you might not normally try
Thoughtful Amenities That Made a Difference
It’s the little things that made this stay stand out:
- Free coffee and tea in the mornings
- Valet parking where you pull right up, unload, and they handle the rest
- On checkout day, they held our luggage all day for free so we could explore without stress
That last part mattered a lot—we didn’t retrieve our car until later, and being able to enjoy Sunday without dragging bags around was such a relief.
The Room: Spacious, Cozy, and Bright
The room was a great size for two people, which isn’t always easy to find in NYC.
- A large window that brought in natural light
- A window in the shower, which was such a fun, unexpected touch
- Overall: spacious, cozy, and comfortable without feeling cramped
Final Thoughts
Between the aesthetic, safety, walkable location, and genuinely helpful service, this hotel made our Christmas weekend feel easy and enjoyable. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting New York—especially if you value comfort, charm, and peace of mind.
