Looking for a beautiful spring activity in Northeast Ohio that’s perfect for families, couples, or celebrating something special? White House Fruit Farm in Canfield, Ohio is a must-visit destination—and right now, it’s blooming with color thanks to their annual Tulip Experience, running through May 11th. Whether you’re planning a relaxing day with loved ones, a romantic outing, or an early Mother’s Day celebration, this experience is the perfect way to welcome the season.
The Tulip Experience at White House Fruit Farm
The Tulip Experience is a paid timed-entry event designed to keep crowds light and the atmosphere relaxed. You’ll stroll through acres of vibrant tulips in full bloom, with photo props placed throughout the fields for capturing those picture-perfect moments. The field is spacious and spread out, so you can take your time and soak in the beauty without feeling overwhelmed.
While you can’t pick the tulips in the field, there’s a charming barn nearby where you can build your own tulip bouquet from freshly-picked flowers. It’s a lovely takeaway from a spring day well spent.
Pro tip: This would make a fantastic early Mother’s Day trip—it’s peaceful, photogenic, and just a short drive from many parts of Ohio and western Pennsylvania.

Upcoming Events: Strawberry & Blueberry Jam Sessions, Sunflowers & More
White House Fruit Farm is more than just a springtime destination—it’s packed with seasonal events and hands-on farm experiences all year long. Coming soon:
🍓 Strawberry Jam Session
Pick your own strawberries and then learn to make your own jam with guidance from White House staff. A sweet, interactive activity that’s great for both couples and families.
🫐 Blueberry Jam Session
Later in the summer, swap the strawberries for blueberries in another jam-making event that’s just as delicious.
🌻 Sunflower Experience
Similar to the tulip event, the Sunflower Experience features rows of tall, golden blooms, perfect for late summer photos and outdoor fun.

White House Fruit Farm is also known for its apple selection. They offer a variety of apples in-season, and one of my favorite features is that you can sample apples before you buy, which adds a really thoughtful, hands-on touch to the shopping experience.
