Eating consciously and prioritizing protein isn’t always easy — especially when you’re craving comfort food. Pizza is one of those foods for me. Instead of ignoring the craving or feeling like I had to “start over,” I wanted something that felt satisfying and aligned with my goals.
That’s why I tried this high-protein cottage cheese pizza — and it delivered.
It was easy to make, filling, and genuinely good. I finished dinner feeling satisfied, nourished, and still on track.
Ingredients
For the crust:
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- ¼ cup flour
- 1 egg
- Garlic powder to taste
- Oregano to taste
- Parsley to taste
Toppings (customizable):
- Tomato sauce
- Pepperoni (for extra protein)
- Fresh mozzarella cheese
I used Good Culture cottage cheese, which has 28 grams of protein per cup — and since this recipe uses a full cup, that alone adds a strong protein base.
How to Make Cottage Cheese Pizza Crust
- Add the cottage cheese, flour, egg, and seasonings to a blender or food processor.
- I used an immersion blender, and it worked perfectly.
- Blend until completely smooth.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Pour the mixture onto the sheet and shape it into a circle.
- Bake at 375°F for 20 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and add sauce and toppings.
- Return to the oven for another 8 minutes.
- Remove, let cool slightly, and enjoy.
Tip for Next Time
The crust came out really well, but next time I would thin out the middle a bit more before baking. It cooked through, but thinning it would help everything bake more evenly.
Why I Loved This Recipe
One pizza was the perfect amount for dinner — not too much, not too little. It satisfied the craving without leaving me feeling heavy or off track.
Eating with intention doesn’t mean cutting out foods you love. It means finding versions that work for you. This recipe gave me the comfort of pizza while still helping me hit my protein and stay aligned with my goals.
It was easy, tasty, and balanced — and that’s exactly what I look for.
I hope this helps someone else find a little balance the way recipes like this help me.
